January 3 the carnival begins

The most important groups of Andean Typical Dance show their talent in a parade along the most important streets of the city.
The children have their carnival and have a parade of floats, musical groups, murgas and children scale, without leaving aside the ingenuity and the artistic talent of its ancestors.

Day of Blacks”, this day everybody can have feast and fun moments in the public squares. The people paint themselves in black, without distinction of race, creed, or economic conditions.

January 6 “Day of Whites”

“Great Parade” of Murgas, Groups and Floats, it is considered the best expression of creativity of Andean tradition. This day, the inhabitants of Pasto participate in the events that take place in the main streets and squares of the city.
“Play of Whites” the civility and the euphoria show its best expression sharing unanimous, the popular feast that provide the best to the carnival.
