Heredia Theater

It was built on the former church of La Merced, in honor to hundredth anniversary of Cartagena independence in 1911. It was declared National Monument by being the traditional opera theater.

In 1998 was restored under the management of Alberto Trallero architect, as cultural centre of scenic ad musical arts. It has modern infrastructure, can hold up to one thousand people in the gallery, 246 chairs in the box and 263 in the stalls.
