Melgar city - Tolima

This is one of the favouriest locations to rest thanks to its nice weather and excellent tourist infrastructure. There are beautiful landscapes.  It counts with 5000 pools, so, it is called “The City of The Pools”.
It is placed 100 Km. from Bogotá.  The temperature is 28°C.

Tourist attractions

Melgar has beautiful places like The Cavern of Palestina or The Pisilago Zoo which counts with more than 400 animal species such as lions, tigers, serpents and ornamental fish.

Reptilia City is a hot location that preserves species in danger of extinction like crocodiles and babillas.  The zone is covered by trees.  It is possible to do walkings through the rainforest, enjoy the carpet of leaves and observe animals in their natural environments like alligators in the water, turtles, wolves and camouflaged iguanas.  Besides, the park offers environmental education, a center of research, and reproduction areas for many species.

It also counts with places to practice extreme sports like rafting and neumating in The Sumapáz River.  The park offers wondeful expiriences inside the landscape (jungle, rocks, etc.).
