Ibague a city known as the Musical City of Colombia, because many cultural and typical activities take place - Includes information of hotels and sites attractions.

Distance from Bogotá: 179 Km.

The capital of the district is composed by 13 villages.  Its economy depends on agriculture, turism, commerce and industry.

It is located in the heart of Tolima.  This is a prosperous city.  It is also known as the musical city of Colombia because many cultural and typical activities take place in the city.  The talent of its artists is very recognised.

It is enclosed by spectacular locations, the prairies are covered with local vegetation.  This is a perfect place for resting.  There are several hotels, restaurants, discos and so on in the middle of the exotic nature.

Tourist attractions

 In the centre of the city there are many historical and cultural places: The Conservatory Tolima that has a republican style and it was declared National Monument in1994.  The Theater of  Tolima for an audience of 1000 people that was rebuilt in 1997.

Among the parks, it is possible to mention: The Park Manuel Murillo that shows historical, political and cultural aspects of  Ibagué.  The Park Deportivo that counts with 33 hectares for pools, game zones and grounds for different sports like soccer, ski, basquetball, beisbol, tennis, etc.
