Ibagué
This is the capital of the district. It is located in the heart of Tolima. This is a prosperous city. It is also known as the musical city of Colombia because many cultural and typical activities take place in the city.
Melgar
This is one of the favouriest locations for resting thanks to its nice weather and excellent tourist infrastructure. The weather is hot. There are beautiful landscapes. It counts with 5000 pools, so, it is called “The City of The Pools”.
It is placed 100 Km. from Bogotá. This is a cosmopolitan city whose residents are happy people.
Honda
This city is located in the north part of Tolima. It preserves beautiful constructions; the entire city is a national monument because of the colonial architecture. The most important constructions are: The Street of The Trampas, The Navarro Bridge, The Cathedral Nuestra Señora del Rosario and The Square of Mercado. It counts with many balnearies and more than 25 bridges.
Mariquita
San Sebastián de Mariquita is situated in the heart of Colombia, to the north of Tolima.
The principal economical activities are agriculture, cattle breeding and commerce.
Falán
This is a place with a special natural biodiversity and historical richness.
The ruins of Falán are very important according to archaelogy.
It is possible to visit The Hill of San Juan, an entertainment location with interesting panoramic views of beautiful landscapes, and The Cascade of Jiménez and its marvelous streams.

The Museum of Art El Espinal, The Historical Center of Ambalema, Mariquita and Honda.
Parque Natural Los Nevados
This park is an essential source of tourist richness. It is located in the centered mountain range of Los Andes. It covers many zones: Caldas, Risaralda, Quindío and Tolima. El Nevado de Tolima whose major attractions are waterfalls, vegetation, frog and moor.
