The region of Caquetá is known as the heart of the Colombian Amazony.  It is a place plenty of flora and fauna.  The principal economical activities are agriculture, mining and cattle breeding.

Tourists can find exotic green views placed on the rainforents and the valley.

Florencia

This is the capital of the region which is located close to The Hacha River.  The landscapes present amazing dusks.  It contains several tourist natural places as The Fog Forest, panoramic views, natural roads and tunnels, and The Hacha River.

Other interesting places to visit are: El Encanto and The Ethnographic Museum of Caquetá.

Parque Nacional Picachos (National Park)

A park that preserves a variety of animals and exotic landscapes composed by rainforest and moors.  It is an ideal place for ecotourism.

Parque Nacional Serranía de Chiribiquete (National Park)

This place is situated in the heart of the Colombian Amazony.  It covers the cities of Caquetá and Guaviare.  The landscape presents valleys and huge rocks from the Precambric Period.

The park is also covered by a rainforest with huge rocks and an important variety of flora and fauna.

Bosque de Niebla y Túneles Vía Florencia (Woodland)

It is located 45 km. from Florencia.  The weather is very cold and it is composed by a rainforest, a mountainous zone, a dense vegetation, exhuberant locations and different types of plants.
