Barranquilla
This is a commercial and industrial center. It has many locations dedicated to art and culture as the Museum Romántico, The Cultural Park of The Caribe, The Museum of Modern Art and others.
The city has also a well designed infrastructure for sports because it was the seat of important events like Copa América 2001, Juegos Centroamericanos y del Caribe 2006.
In this region, the most popular party of the country takes place: The Carnival of Barranquilla, a Human Patrimony that is admired for foreing and national tourists.
Puerto Colombia (Port)
A popular zone of the district. In the old days, it was the firt sea port of Colombia. It has the longest bridge of the country (a kilometer long).
It contains beautiful landscapes composed by marshes and beaches like the famous Puerto Colombia.
Usiacurí
This is a village of Barranquilla. The termal waters are the main attraction. Many people go there for medical purposes.

The Metropolitan Cathedral, Puerto Colombia, The Antropological Museum, The Museum of Natural History, and The Castle of Salgar.

Bocas de Ceniza
This is one of the most beautiful places of the city thanks to the waters of the Magdalena River. It is located 15 minutes from Barranquilla.
There are different drives on wagons to observe the beautiful landscapes. There is a special zone plenty of flowers. It comprehends also a library, a museum of natural history and a park.
Jardín zoológico de Barranquilla (Zoo)
One of the most important zoos of South America thanks to the diversity of tress, plants and animals.
Embalse El Guájaro
It is situated in the southwest zone of the city. It is an ideal place for nautic sports and fishing.
